Latest GAC AION RT Officially Launches, Check Out The Changes

JAKARTA - The updated GAC Aion RT electric sedan has been officially launched, offering four variants priced between 99,800 and 123,800 yuan (approximately IDR 233 million to IDR 289 million).

Quoting from Carnewschina, Tuesday, September 23, this annual model update focuses primarily on feature and price adjustments, while maintaining the existing exterior design and powertrain options.

In terms of design, the AION RT embraces the "velociraptor" design concept, featuring a rounded, three-dimensional style with fluid and dynamic body lines. The front fascia uses a minimalist design to reduce drag, complemented by a sporty air intake and a LiDAR sensor.

From the side profile, the vehicle adopts a coupe-like design with a fastback rear. The body maintains smooth contours throughout, with dark window frames and hidden door handles.

The charging port is located on the front fender. Dimensionally, the AION RT measures 4,865 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. It achieves an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd.

The interior features an 8.88-inch floating instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central control display. The infotainment system runs on the latest ADiGO 5.0 platform, featuring a tablet-like interface and a variety of apps. The center console features layered air vents and a wireless charging pad. Audio is delivered through an 11-speaker 5.1-channel sound system, including an 8-inch 45Hz subwoofer.

For autonomous driving, the AION RT is equipped with a 126-line LiDAR and Nvidia's Orin-X chip, delivering 254 TOPS of computing power. This technology is highly beneficial for drivers.

The car is equipped with a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, available in two versions, starting at 55.1 kWh and 68.1 kWh. The electric motors produce maximum outputs of 201 hp and 221 hp, respectively, providing ranges of 520 km and 650 km, respectively.

The vehicle features 3C 400V silicon carbide fast charging technology, enabling 30-80 percent charging in 18 minutes and delivering a range of 160-200 km with a 10-minute charge.
