66 Houses In Donggala Submerged By Floods, 258 People Affected
DONGGALA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) reported that two villages, namely Tibo and Kaliburu, in Sindue Tombusabora District, Donggala Regency, were flooded in the early hours of Tuesday, September 23.
Head of Central Sulawesi BPBD Akris Fattah Yunus said the flood occurred at 00.30 WITA and affected five hamlets in Tibo and Kaliburu villages.
"So this flood was caused by high rainfall in Tibo Village and Kaliburu Village, Donggala Regency, resulting in flooding into people's homes," said Akris, quoted by ANTARA.
He stated that temporary data contained 49 houses and 198 people affected by flooding in Tibo, including one unit of public facilities, namely SDN 4 Tibo.
"For Kaliburu Village, there are 17 houses with 60 people affected, bringing the total flooded houses to 66 houses and 258 people," he said.
He stated that there were no casualties or people who were displaced by the flood.
"The current situation has subsided and the water is starting to recede and the needs of the people in the two villages in the form of basic necessities are met," he said.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Donggala Vera Elena Laruni has ordered the local BPBD to immediately tackle flooding in the area.
"Local governments ensure that they are present in the community, including providing assistance and clean water to help residents clean their homes," said Regent Vera Elena Laruni.
