Perplexity Presents AI Powered Assistant Email Feature Connected To Gmail And Outlook

JAKARTA - Perplexity announced that it has released an exclusive Email Assistant feature for Perplexity Max customers designed to help users complete various tasks in incoming contacts.

This Assistant email can be directly connected to Gmail and Outlook accounts on your various devices, and can compile replies, set messages, schedule meetings, and much more.

With the support of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the Assistant Email is able to learn the user's style of communication and priorities, so that each reply and recommendation remains in accordance with personal tones and needs.

"You completed the task in the inbox, in a shorter time, while remaining in control," the company wrote in an announcement on its official website quoted Tuesday, September 23.

In addition to the automatic setting feature, the Email Assistant also supports question-based interactions. Users can request a specific message summary, identify priorities before the meeting, and find urgent issues in the team correspondence.

This feature expands the experience of AI assistants previously, namely Comet, which according to preliminary data increased user productivity by 18 times.

In terms of security, Perplexity emphasized that the Email Assistant had complied with SOC 2 and GDPR standards, and did not use email data to train AI models.

With the presence of the Email Assistant, Perplexity wants to bring new convenience in daily productivity, as well as answer the challenges of email workloads that often take time.
