Typhoons Hit, Indonesian Consulate General In Hong Kong Reminds Indonesian Citizens To Obey Emergency Protocols
The Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong appealed to Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Hong Kong and Macau to comply with local emergency protocols related to the Super Ragasa Typhoon which is expected to cross southern China on September 23-25.
Indonesian citizens are advised to be vigilant in connection with Hong Kong Observatory information about the Super Ragasa Typhoon projected to cross southern China, including Hong Kong and Macau, according to a press release by the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong in Jakarta, Monday.

In accordance with the Hong Kong Government's emergency protocol, all public services, including passport services and other services at the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong, will be suspended during the implementation of the T8 and above signals.
The T8 signal refers to the hurricane signal no. 8 (T8) issued by the Hong Kong Observatory to warn the public about the arrival of a strong typhoon that causes strong agin and potential storms.
The T8 signal will be issued when strong winds or storms are in effect, or is expected to affect, the Hong Kong region. This signal is a form of early warning to the public in order to take precautions against potential hazards from tropical cyclones.
"All public services of the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong will reopen normally on days and working hours 2 (two) hours after T8 status and above, withdrawn by the Hong Kong Government," he said.
"For holders of the Republic of Indonesia Passport booking code who cannot access services during the implementation of the T8 signal and above, they can use their booking code for the next 7 (seven) working days," the press release said.
