Ridwan Kamil Rejects Peace With Lisa Mariana In The Defamation Case

BANDUNG - Ridwan Kamil's attorney, Muslim Jaya Butar Butar, confirmed that he would not take the peaceful path with celebrity Lisa Mariana in the alleged defamation case currently rolling in court.

"Mr. RK prefers to continue because the impact of the defamation carried out by LM is extraordinary, so there must be a deterrent effect that must be given by the court later. Let the court decide what it will be like," said Muslim at the Bandung District Court, Monday, September 22.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri planned to mediate between the two parties in accordance with the National Police Chief Regulation Number 8 of 2021 concerning case handling through alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Mediation is scheduled to take place Tuesday (23/9).

Muslims ensure that the mediation agenda will only be attended by a team of attorneys, considering that Ridwan Kamil was unable to attend for work reasons.

"Tomorrow there is indeed an invitation for mediation from Bareskrim. Of course we from the lawyer will be present to represent Pak RK," he said.

Nevertheless, he emphasized that his client still chose to continue the legal process to completion.

"Mr. RK really respects the ongoing legal process, and once again we convey, he prefers to continue this process until it is finished," he said.

According to him, his client refused to make peace because the defamation allegedly committed by Lisa Mariana had harmed Ridwan Kamil's career and good name.

It is known, former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil reported Lisa Mariana on charges of defamation and manipulation of electronic documents on April 11, 2025.

The report was received by Bareskrim Polri and was registered with the number LP/B/174/IV/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.
