Through Kaltara Terang, Zainal Arifin Paliwang Targets 100 Percent Of Electricity Villages By 2030

NUNUKAN Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Zainal Arifin Paliwang targets villages in Kaltara to have 100 percent enjoyed electricity by 2030.

"The provincial government (Pemprov) of Kaltara is committed to presenting electrical energy to villages that are still living in limitations," said Governor Zainal accompanied by the Head of the ESDM Service, Yosua Batara Payangan and Deputy Chair I of the Kaltara DPRD Muhammad Nasir in Sembakung Roof Village, Nunukan Regency, Monday 22 September.

A number of strategic steps have also been prepared, ranging from the Electricity New Installation Assistance (BPBL) program for poor households, the construction of solar power plants (PLTS) in several villages, to the opening of new PLN services at 19 border points.

"Until now, there are still 80 villages at the border and 35 priority villages that have not been electrified," said Zainal.

"The bright Kaltara program is targeted, 100 percent of villages in Kaltara will enjoy electricity by 2030. Light is not only a matter of lighting, but also light of hope for education, health, and the community's economy," he added.

In addition, the Kaltara Terang program is also designed to support the economic empowerment of the community. "A number of energy companies will also help provide electric sewing machines for MSME players in Linsayung Village, so that rattan products and skin from residents have higher competitiveness," he said.

In addition to focusing on lighting, the Governor continued, the Kaltara Provincial Government has also continued to develop villages in other sectors, such as the construction of the Tamul Village bridge, assistance for medical equipment for flood mitigation in Roof Village, to the construction of traditional houses and youth facilities.

"This is not only about the light of the lights, but also the light of life and the future. Therefore, I invite all parties such as the central government, PLN, the business world, to the community to join hands to make it happen," concluded Zainal.
