The Number Of MBG Toxic Students Is More Than 5,000, Head Of KSP Qodari Calls The Cause Through Data

JAKARTA - The free nutritious food program (MBG) is reaping the spotlight because in a number of areas, thousands of beneficiaries of poisoning.

According to Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Muhammad Qodari to reporters at the Bina Graha Building, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 22, the government is not blind and deaf to see what is happening.

Even Qodari said that the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) already had data related to the poisoning incident in the MBG program.

Qodari also holds BGN data on the number of students poisoned until September 17, namely 46 cases of poisoning with a total of 5,080. Meanwhile, data from the Ministry of Health as of September 16, there were 60 cases with 5,207 patients.

Then BPOM data contained 55 cases with 5,320 patients as of September 10. Qodari explained, based on the BPOM assessment, the peak of MBG poisoning occurred in August 2025 with the most distribution in West Java Province.

In general, the causes of poisoning are food hygiene, food temperature and food processing incompatibility, cross-contamination from officers, and there are indications that some are caused by allergies to beneficiaries.

The government, according to Qodari, is currently conducting an evaluation to find a solution to the problem.
