High School Students Become Victims Of Harassment At JPO Jatinegara, Transjakarta Officers Are Silent

JAKARTA - A high school student from Tanjung Priok became an exhibitionist victim at the Jatinegara Crossing Bridge (JPO), East Jakarta, Sunday afternoon, September 21, 2025. The victim is known to have the initials S.

The incident began when S had just returned from his school extracurricular home in the Pondok Kopi area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

"I've seen that person from afar. I'm just ignorant, because I think he has defecated. There people are used to urinating," victim S told reporters, Monday, September 22, 2025.

According to the victim, he had seen the perpetrator since he got off Jaklingko under the JPO. However, because there was no other access, the victim was forced to go through the JPO. However, after the victim walked closer, he saw the perpetrator removing his genitals.

"He's fixed (improving) his pants and belthub, then not long after he took out his genitals and smiled like that," he said.

According to S's confession, the perpetrator immediately repaired his pants after the victim recorded his cellphone. Then, the perpetrator ran towards the entrance of the Transjakarta bus.

Unfortunately, said the victim, Transjakarta bus officers were reluctant to help the victim. Transjakarta officers actually beat the perpetrators.

"The perpetrator cursed me too and pointed at me. Then the person fled," he said.

The victim's parents, Abdul Rasyid, regretted the chaos of the Transjakarta officer who actually allowed his daughter to become a victim of harassment.

He also felt disappointed with Transjakarta officers who only laughed at their children after being harassed by an unknown man.

According to him, his son is currently traumatized and does not want to go to school.

"Still traumatized, if the perpetrator is from video recordings like a crazy person," he said.
