Russia's Attack On Ukraine's Zaporizhia Kills 3 People

JAKARTA - Russian airstrikes in the city of Zaporizhia, southeastern Ukraine, killed three people and injured two others.

"Monday morning in Zaporizhia it started with explosions and fires," Governor Ivan Fedorov wrote.

He said Russian troops used at least 10 air bombs in the attack on the city of about 700.000 people.

The attack damaged 15 apartment buildings and 10 private houses and non-residential buildings, he said.

The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 132 drones launched by Russia overnight and recorded nine attacks on seven locations.

In the northeastern region of Sumy, various drone attacks injured two people over the past day, in addition to damaging civilian infrastructure and private homes, said Governor Hryhorov.

Attacks in the Kyiv area injured one person and damaged apartment buildings and private homes, according to emergency services.
