Different BPJS Vs Dukcapil Data Regarding The Age Of The Child Murder Perpetrator In Konsel, Police Say This
KENDARI The Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) of the South Konawe Police (Konsel), Southeast Sulawesi, said the age identity of the perpetrator of the murder of a child with the initials AF, whose body was found in a sack in Mowila District, was different between data from the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) and BPJS Kesehatan.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Police, Iptu Jefry, said investigators found the identity of the AF perpetrator from the local Dukcapil data that issued his birth certificate.
"And it is in accordance with the family card (born certificate), which matches the family card which is still 17 years and 11 months old," said Jefry when contacted from Kendari, Antara, Monday, September 22.
Although there are other data that refer to AF as 21 years old based on BPJS Kesehatan, investigators still stick to Dukcapil's official document as the legal basis.
"Meanwhile, other identities registered with BPJS cannot be used as legal legal grounds," he said.
In addition to administrative identity, the South Sumatra Police also coordinated with the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police to conduct forensic tests on AF's teeth to ensure their true age.
"We are still waiting for the results to come out. But even so, even if it comes out, it must be reviewed later because the forensic experts are still estimating the age range," he said.
With the legal status of children, said Jefry, the process of handling the murder case against NNA (5) is carried out through the juvenile justice system, starting from detention to accelerated investigations so that it can be immediately transferred to the prosecutor's office.
In the process, the Konsel Police involved the Social Service (Dinsos), KPAI, KPAD, and the Kendari Correctional Center (Bapas).
