COVID-19 Update Saturday, May 16: 2,385 New Cases, Lower Than Yesterday
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) released additional positive cases of COVID-19 for today, Saturday, May 15 at 12:00 p.m. with a record addition of 2,385 cases.
This number is less than last Friday, May 14 with an additional 2,633 positive cases.
In the report it was also revealed that the recovery rate per day increased by 4,181 with a mortality rate of 144 cases.
In detail, the largest increase in positive cases occurred in West Java with a record 723 cases. Followed by Central Java with 248 cases, DKI Jakarta with 227 cases, and Riau Islands with 190 cases.
Meanwhile, for the area with the most recovery contributed by DKI Jakarta 573 people, West Java 572 people, and Riau with 563 people recovered. Then, the highest death rate was found in Central Java with 35 cases, East Java 25 cases, and DKI Jakarta 15 cases.
In terms of vaccination, 13,721,627 people have received the phase I vaccine with a special addition today as many as 22,234 people.
Then, for the phase II vaccine is known to have been distributed to 8,954,300 people with the addition of 32,869 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target targeted by the government for the current period amounted to 40,349,049.
