Chrome Becomes The First Google App On IPhone To Adopt Liquid Glass Design

JAKARTA Apple has launched iOS 26 with many improvements, one of which is the transparent Liquid Glass design. This design was also adopted by Google in the latest Chrome update.

Through the recently launched Chrome 141, Google for the iPhone and iPad gets interface improvements. This improvement refers to the Liquid Glass design so that the Google app is not left behind from Apple's default browser.

Chrome is the first Google app to adopt the Liquid Glass design. If you are a Chrome user on your iPhone and you are already using the latest version, you will see changes to the transfer of Incognito, Tab, and Tab Groups.

Edit and Complete Buttons also get the same look, which is transparent and in accordance with Apple's Liquid Glass design at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2025. Design changes are also applied to context menus that look more modern.

When the context menu appears, the screen display no longer blurs the background, but provides a cleaner experience with a slightly transparent menu. This makes navigation more attractive to users.

The lower sheet also gets an update. The corners of the lower sheet are no longer round as before and the menu item now has a smooth additional arch. Similar changes are also seen on the Settings page.

The page now displays a new Complete icon or checkmark and an updated or inactive button. The tab loading indicator also follows the typical iOS mill style. This replaces the circle indicator that Chrome previously used.
