Weather Forecast September 22: Light Rain In Jakarta, Medan Potentially Lightning

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts cloudy weather and rain with various intensity in a number of cities and regions in Indonesia earlier this week, Monday, September 22.

BMKG forecaster Ina Indah Hapsari in an online weather forecast followed from Jakarta, Monday, said cloudy weather is predicted to occur in Banda Aceh, Jambi, Bandar Lampung, and Pangkal Pinang in Sumatra today.

With the potential for light rain in Bengkulu, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Padang, and Tanjung Pinang, as well as rain accompanied by lightning in the Medan area.

"In Java, for Surabaya, it is predicted that cloudy skies, cloudy Semarang, for Serang and Bandung are forecasted to be thick cloudy. For Jakarta and Yogyakarta, light rain is forecast," he said.

Meanwhile, said Ina, in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara areas, it is predicted that sunny cloudy weather will occur in Kupang, cloudy in the Mataram area, and light rain in Denpasar.

For the Kalimantan region, BMKG predicts the potential for cloudy weather in Banjarmasin, thick clouds in Samarinda, Palangka Raya, and Pontianak. With the potential for light rain in the Tanjung Selor area.

Ina explained that cloudy weather and rain are predicted by the BMKG to occur in the Sulawesi region. Kendari and Makassar have the potential to experience cloudy conditions accompanied by the potential for light rain in Gorontalo, Manado, and Mamuju, as well as thunderstorms in Palu.

In eastern Indonesia, only Merauke is predicted to experience cloudy weather today. With Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, Jayawijaya, and Jayapura areas, it has the potential to experience light rainfall.
