GORONTALO - The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (DPP PDIP) officially issued a severe sanction in the form of dismissal of Wahyudin Moridu in the aftermath of a viral video that caused controversy in the community.

Secretary of the PDIP Regional Leadership Council (DPD) Gorontalo La Ode Haidudin, in Gorontalo, Sunday, September 21, said Wahyudin Moridu was a member of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Gorontalo Province from the PDIP faction.

"Dismissal can only be carried out based on the DPP's decision, where the PDIP DPP has officially dismissed Wahyudun Moridu from party cadres," said La Ode.

DPP's decisive step towards Wahyudin Moridu was also a warning to remind all party cadres, especially in Gorontalo Province, to always maintain the good name and honor of the party.

The PDIP DPP firmly reminded all cadres not to take actions that could injure people's trust in the party.

In addition, party cadres are not allowed to carry out activities or behavior that harm the party's good name and interests, especially things that can harm the people.

Representing the PDIP DPP, he also invited all party cadres to make this event a momentum to improve and improve themselves.

"From this incident, we remind all cadres to continue to improve the quality in political work for the welfare of the people in Gorontalo Province," he also said.

Previously, Wahyudin Moridu's name was excited on social media for his behavior in a 1 minute 5 second video that caused public unrest.

In the video, Wahyudin Moridu admitted that he was together with his mistress going to Makassar, South Sulawesi, to rob him of spending state money.

He also admitted that he was drunk when he said these words, triggering various negative comments that had an impact on the poor government and party institutions where he became a cadre.
