2025 Super League Results: Persija Suffered First Defeat

JAKARTA Persija Jakarta finally suffered their first defeat in the 2025/2026 Super League season when they visited PSM Makassar headquarters.

The sixth week of clash between the two teams took place at BJ Habibie Stadium, Parepare, on Sunday, September 21, 2025 evening WITA. Persija had to admit the opponent's advantage with a landslide score of 0-2.

Persija Jakarta should have taken the lead in the sixth minute through Allano's goal. However, the referee's assistant raised the offside flag so that the goal was disallowed.

The sale and purchase of attacks between the two teams was inevitable after that. Jacques Medina had a chance in the 41st minute when dealing one on one with Carlos Eduardo, but unfortunately did not produce a goal.

The hosts' lead just broke when the two teams returned from the dressing room. PSM's first winning goal was scored by Savio Roberto in the 56th minute with a low shot into the corner.

Persija, who tried to reply, then conceded his second goal in the 79th minute. This time it was Abu Kamara's turn to register his name on the scoreboard using Rizky Eka's pass.

This is Juku Eja's first win of the season from a total of five matches that have been played. They now collect six points and sit in 14th position.

On the other hand, the inaugural defeat made Persija Jakarta fail to climb to the top of the standings to shift Borneo FC, which has won all four matches so far.

PSM Makassar will next host PSIM Yogyakarta, which has so far been impressive with three wins from six matches, while Persija will undergo an away match to Borneo headquarters.
