Tragedy In West Banjarmasin, 2 Lives Overturned Due To Disconnected Electric Cables
BANJARMASIN West Banjarmasin Police Chief, Banjarmasin Police, South Kalimantan Police, Kompol M Noor Chaidir said that based on the results of an interim investigation, two victims died in the fire allegedly due to being electrocuted.
The fire occurred on Sunday at around 12.00 WITA on Jalan Sepat Gang Berdikari RT03 RW01, Tiram Village, West Banjarmasin District.
The victim had the initials MN (16), a student, and WY (25), a laborer. Both are residents of Teluk Tiram who are not far from the location of the fire.
"In the fire incident, the fire that broke out had scorched three houses belonging to local residents," said Kompol Chaidir in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, September 21.
According to him, the owners of the burning house were Abdul Hamid (66), Imis (43), and Ahmad Noor (44).
The West Banjarmasin Police Chief explained that the fire that scorched the three housing units resulted in two casualties due to being electrocuted. Based on witness testimony, the fire came from the kitchen of Abdul Wahid's house, then it grew, which scorched the three houses.
The power cable in front of the location of the burning house was cut off and fell, hitting the bodies of the two victims, resulting in them dying. The case is now being handled by the West Banjarmasin Police for further processing.

For the purposes of the investigation, the police came to the location of the fire, carried out security and traffic flow arrangements, installed police lines, recorded fire victims and casualties, carried out external visas, recorded witnesses, and made official reports on the incident.
