Situbondo Police Thwarts Circulation Of 96,000 Okerbaya Pills Through Expeditionary Services
SITUBONDO - The Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Situbondo Resort Police, East Java, revealed the circulation of 96 thousand pills of dangerous hard drugs (okerbaya) sent using expedition services.
Situbondo Police Chief AKBP Rezi Dharmawan said the disclosure of the shipment of tens of thousands of pills of dangerous drugs began with public information related to the sending of suspicious packages.
"After an investigation, the Opsnal team found three large boxes containing dangerous drugs ready for distribution, and secured a man with the initials DA (42) after receiving delivery of Okarbaya through the expedition service," Rezi said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 21.
The Rezi Police Chief conveyed the arrest of the man with the initials DA alias pentol on Friday (19/9) night at around 21.45 WIB next to the Kalibagor Highway expedition service office, Kotakan Village, Situbondo District.
"The suspect's mode is to use package delivery services to distribute large amounts of ocurbaya, and from the results of the disclosure, we have secured a total of 96 thousand trex pills ready for distribution," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Resnarkoba Polres Situbondo AKP Muhammad Luthfi explained that the evidence of 96 thousand dangerous drugs was packaged in 96 cans each containing 1,000 trex pills.
"As long as the evidence is tens of thousands of ocurbaya items, we also confiscated one unit of cellphone, one unit of motorcycle and plastic and aluminum foil," said AKP Luthfi.
During the further search, the Narcotics Satresnal team also found the remaining 0.11 grams of methamphetamine and three lines of marijuana with a total of 1.95 grams.

To account for his actions, the suspect was charged with Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health related to the distribution of illegal pharmaceuticals, and Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, and the maximum penalty is 20 years in prison.
"The Situbondo Police will not provide space for drug dealers, we ask the public to report if they find suspicious shipments through delivery services," said AKP Luthfi.
