Indonesian Nuance Night Enlivens Diplomatic Reception At The Indonesian Embassy In Bucharest
JAKARTA - Indonesian cultural arts, clothing and culinary performances are holding the diplomatic reception for the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which was held by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bucharest, Romania on Thursday.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Romania and Moldova Meidyatama Suryodiningrat emphasized the importance of unity in Indonesia's diversity and the commitment to building a peaceful world.
"The Indonesian mission is to establish relationships through cultural diplomacy, inter-community involvement, as well as political and economic cooperation. As stated by President Prabowo Subianto, there are too few friends, there are too many enemies," said Ambassador Meidyatama, launching a statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharest on September 20.
This diplomatic reception, which is packaged in the form of "A Night of Indonesia", presents the wealth and diversity of culture, as well as the warmth and hospitality of the Indonesian nation.

The angklung performance by Manshur Angklung with a medley of songs from the Nusantara and Hymne of Europe "Ode to Joy" gave an authentic sensation. This diplomatic reception was attended by Romanian officials such as the Secretary of State for Strategic and Global Affairs of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ana Cristina Tinca, the Chairman of the Romanian-Indonesian Parliament Friendship Group Alexandra Presura, the Chief Justice of the Romanian Constitutional Court Simina Elena Tanasescu, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of friendly countries in Romania.
Other invited guests were also present, such as from business circles, academics, Indonesian friends and diaspora in Romania, including the Indonesian Honorary Consul at the Indonesian Defense Constant and Attache in Belgrade, Serbia Colonel Cpl Budi Alamsyah.
"Indonesia has the potential for great cooperation with Romania, such as in the fields of economy, trade, education, including cooperation with the European Union," said Ana keyakinan Tinca.
"Rumania has advantages in agriculture, technology, and renewable energy, while Indonesia stands out in agriculture, digital industry, and manufacturing. By focusing cooperation on these sectors, we can have a real picture of the great potential that can be realized by the two countries in the future," he explained.
In this diplomatic reception, a number of Indonesian products were also exhibited, including various batik patterns and batik demonstrations from the Indonesian House Batik.
