This Is Pertamina's Effort To Restore Consumer Confidence

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri megakui the rampant transfer of consumers who switch to using private fuel products from previously using Pertamina fuel.

According to Simon, this is the result of the case of Pertamina's oil management in early 2025 which netted a number of high-ranking state-owned state-owned officials.

"Of course we have to work hard. Because I said, one of the contributing factors is of course there is a trust issue from the community, among others, we are having a case of legal governance. All people already know," Simon told the media crew quoted on Saturday, September 20.

Simon said that his party really needs to continuously improve governance to restore consumer confidence. Simon also said that Pertamina routinely conducts socialization related to what Pertamina has done.

Technically, Simon said Pertamina had also increased the capacity of oil refineries so that the quality of fuel produced was cleaner and according to standards.

"Of course we will continue to increase our refinery capacity, upgrade refinery capacity. So that later when the refinery capacity is better, our production results will increase," continued Simon.

Furthermore, Simon explained, currently Pertamina is developing the Balikpapan Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) project which can produce quality products with a standard of Euro 5 with a maximum sulfur content of 10 PPM.

"So of course we are constantly investing in that direction. Continuing the existing jobs," said Simon.
