Prabowo's Presence At The United Nations Shows The Return Of Indonesia's Global Role
JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya said this year's UN General Assembly was an important momentum because the presence of President Prabowo Subianto showed that Indonesia was again present at the highest level of the world organization forum.
Secretary Teddy, in an upload via the official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet in the early hours of Saturday, explained that President Prabowo had just left for New York, United States, to attend the United Nations 80th General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters.
"According to the schedule received, President Prabowo will deliver a speech in third place at the UN General Debate session on September 23, 2025, after the President of Brazil and the President of the United States," Seskab Teddy quoted Antara as saying.
According to Seskab Teddy, in addition to making Indonesia appear again at the highest level of the UN forum, President Prabowo's presence also emphasized that Indonesia's position as a global South leader consistently voiced world governance reforms.
"To emphasize Indonesia's position as a global South leader who consistently voice the agenda of world governance reform to be fairer and more inclusive," said Teddy.
On his way to New York, President Prabowo will stop for several hours in Osaka, Japan, to wait for the aircraft's refueling.
On the sidelines of this time, President Prabowo will visit the Indonesian Pavilion which is a participant in a world standard cultural exhibition at Osaka Expo 2025.

Regarding the agenda of the Head of State in New York, President Prabowo is scheduled to attend the "Two States Solution" (Tua Negara Solution) session on September 22, 2025 and will speak at the General Debate (General Debate) session of the United Nations High School on September 23, 2025.
After leaving New York, President Prabowo will continue his official visit to Ottawa, Canada, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, to hold a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister.
Then, on September 26, 2025, the President will continue his visit to The Hague, the Netherlands, to hold a meeting with the King and Caretaker of the Dutch Prime Minister.
