Bringing Machetes, Dozens Of OTK Attack Bridge Project Workers In Yahukimo

JAYAPURA - Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani said the joint team investigated reports of attempted murder of bridge project workers on Jalan Barak Seradala KM 2, Yahukimo Regency by an unknown group of people.

Victim Muhammad Asdar (40), works as a driver and lives in the Paradiso complex, Dekai.

"The incident occurred Thursday (19/9) at around 11.30 WIT when the victim and his colleagues were carrying stones that would be filled into the gabions, but suddenly an unknown group of people came to attack using machetes that caused lacerations," said Faizal as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 19.

From the report received by the victim after being beaten and injured, he ran into a truck and fled with him to the Yahukimo Police Station in Dekai and reported the incident.

After reporting the incident he experienced, the victim was then taken to Dekai Hospital for treatment for the injuries he suffered.

From the report, it was revealed that there were 15 perpetrators of the attack.

"Members are still conducting an investigation to reveal the perpetrators of the attack," said Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani.
