PTPN IV PalmCo Holds Free Bimbel For Underprivileged Students: To Be Ready To Face PTN Selection
JAKARTA PTPN IV PalmCo held a free tutoring program (Bimbel) for 200 students of SMA equivalent class XII in Pematang Siantar, as a form of support for national education.
Program yang digelar sejak tahun lalu ini ditujukan untuk membantu pelajar kurang mampu dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi negeri (PTN).
President Director of PTPN IV PalmCo, Jatmiko K. Santosa, stated that the success of the previous program was a motivation to continue this initiative.
In the previous period, said Jatmiko, 81 percent of the bimbel participants managed to penetrate PTN.
"Never hesitate to have dreams and continue to study diligently. Success does not only belong to those who are lucky, but also belongs to those who try non-stop," said Jatmiko in his statement, Friday, September 19.
Jatmiko said that this bimbel pogram is not just educational assistance, but also a form of sustainable corporate social responsibility from PTPN IV PalmCo.
"The success of the program is clear evidence that collaboration between companies, social institutions, and the community can open up wider opportunities for a potentially young generation," he said.
The bimbel program is the result of a collaboration between PTPN IV PalmCo, the Community Education Care Foundation (YPPM), and Ganesha Operation.
For one year, students will receive learning modules, intensive assistance, and support from professional teaching staff. This program is specifically designed to open equal access to education for students from underprivileged families.
Responding to this program, the Chairperson of YPPM, Ir. Rijen Lamri Sinaga, said that support like this is very important to encourage the spirit of learning and building hope for the younger generation, especially in areas that have limited educational facilities.
"This synergy not only opens the door to universities, but also fosters optimism for students to achieve a better future," said Rijen.
Meanwhile, one of the free Bimbel participants, Rafael YO Sitanggang, expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for continuing higher education. Rafael, whose father works as an oil palm farmer, hopes that the program can realize his goals.
"I aspire to be like Mr. Jatmiko, a successful leader in the future. This program gives me great hope and motivation," said Rafael.
Another participant, Olivia Siahaan, also conveyed the same thing, who hopes that this free bimbel program will continue so that more outstanding students are born from the land of North Sumatra.
