Yesterday Membludak, Today Ancol Closed To Tourists

JAKARTA - Taman Impian Jaya Ancol closed its operations today, Saturday, May 15. The closure was done to tighten health protocols.

"Ancol is temporarily closed on May 15, 2021," said Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Corporate Communication Manager, Rika Lestari, in a written statement.

Earlier on Friday, the management of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol closed the access gate in and out of visitors earlier or at 17.00 WIB.

The closure at the main gate was carried out in response to the rules of restrictions on visitors during the Eid holidays set by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.

Ancol during the Eid holiday this time remains open with a capacity of 30 percent of the maximum capacity of 120,000 visitors.

Rika said restrictions on people entering and exiting ancol area continue to be monitored so as not to exceed the specified quota.

But visitors continue to arrive so management takes the policy to close the main gate early when the maximum quota of 30 percent has been met.

Rika said ancol continues to encourage visitors who come to Ancol area not to buy tickets offline because the booking can only be done through the www.ancol.com website.

Ancol is re-opened on Sunday. Visitors who already have tickets for today's visit, can come directly tomorrow without re-booking.

Ticket holders can also change their arrival schedule until July 31, 2021.
