MBG Poisoning Student Case, Government Apologizes, Promises Evaluation And Gives Strict Sanctions

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) has returned to the spotlight after hundreds of students in Banggai Islands, Central Sulawesi were suspected of having been poisoned after eating food in the MBG program.

Previously, similar things had happened in several areas and foods that were not suitable for food were served.

The MBG program is also increasingly in the spotlight, when there are allegations of fictitious kitchens managing food in the MBG program.

Responding to this, the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi representing the government apologized.

This was conveyed to reporters at the State Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, September 19. Prasetyo promised that the government would immediately evaluate and would impose sanctions on parties who were proven to have violated the rules so that unwanted things would happen in the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food program.
