Profile Of Dony Oskaria, Acting Minister Of SOEs Prabowo's Choice

Dony's appointment was stated in a letter numbered B-20/M/S/AN.00.03/09/2025 signed by the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi dated September 17, 2025.

In the letter, President Prabowo asked Dony to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Minister of SOEs until there was a new directive or the appointment of a definitive minister.

The appointment was made after the issuance of Presidential Decree Number 96/P of 2025 concerning the dismissal and appointment of the Minister and Deputy Minister of State in the Red and White Cabinet for the period 2024'2029.

"As well as to ensure the smooth implementation of the duties and functions of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, we hereby convey that the President appoints you (Dony) to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises until there is another directive from the President or the appointment of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises," the letter reads, quoted Friday, September 19.

With this new mandate, Dony has three positions at once, namely the Acting Minister of SOEs, the Deputy Minister of SOEs, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia. Dony has served as Deputy Minister of BUMN since October 2024, and COO of Danantara since February 2025.

Dony Oskaria himself is not a new figure in the BUMN environment. In 2021 to 2024, he is trusted as the President Director of PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (InJourney), the holding of BUMN tourism and aviation.

Long before that, Dony also served as Deputy President Director of Garuda Indonesia from 2020 to 2021, after becoming a Commissioner at the airline since 2014.

The man who was born in Tanjung Alam, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, on September 26, 1969, did start his career in the private sector first.

Dony has held a number of strategic positions at CT Corp, ranging from CEOs of Trans Studio, Trans Hotel, to Trans Mall from 2014 to 2020. He also served as Managing Director of Bank Mega from 2012 to 2014.

In terms of education, Nagita Slavina's uncle from the line of descent of this mother studied for International Relations at Padjadjaran University, then won an MBA from The Asian Institute of Management, Philippines, in 2009.
