Failed To Overtake, Honda Scoopy Motorcyclist In Cilincing Killed By A Truck

JAKARTA - A Honda Scoopy motorist with the initials WT was found dead tragically after being hit by a trailer truck with the number B 9226 IDX on Jalan Raya Cilincing towards the West, precisely at TL Tanah Merdeka, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

Head of Traffic Unit for North Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Edy Wibowo, said that initially the Honda Scoopy motorbike with number B 4897 UBS drove from the East towards the West.

"Precisely at TL Tanah Merdeka was about to overtake from the left, because there was not enough room, the victim was hit by the left rear wheel of Trailer B 9226 IDX," he said when confirmed, Friday, September 19, 2025.

At the time of the incident, the trailer truck was traveling in the same direction as the victim's motorbike. Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer truck that hit the victim managed to escape. The identity of the driver is also unknown.

"As a result of the traffic accident, the WT motorcyclist died," he said.

The case is still under investigation by the North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.

"The cause is still in the process of being investigated," he said.
