Residents Of Trauma, Early Morning Transjakarta Bus Collis 5 Buildings And A Number Of Vehicles

JAKARTA - The Transjakarta bus accident that occurred in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, shocked local residents very much on Friday, September 19, 2025, morning.

According to Wahyu Wahono, a local resident, he learned about the incident at around 05.00 WIB in the morning.

"Initially there were many residents, some said (Transjakarta) the brakes failed. Residents were still traumatized at the hospital because they were injured," Wahyu told reporters at the location.

As a result of the accident, as many as 4 kiosks were destroyed after being hit by a bus that was driving quite fast.

"The material loss is not yet known. There are about 4 houses and places of business. Thank God the injured victims have been taken to the hospital," he said.

Wahyu confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the Transjakarta bus accident in his area.

"There are no fatalities, only injured victims. We are still collecting data on the losses of our citizens," he said.

Wahyu said that some local residents were injured in the Transjakarta accident.

"Our residents were injured by two people," he said.

In addition to crashing into a kiosk building, Transjakarta previously also hit a car and a motorbike that was driving around the area.

"There were six car drivers who were damaged and six motorbikes. There were also injuries," he added.

Wahyu said the Transjakarta bus was a flyover route for Pondok Kopi or Cakung Station.

"The Transjakarta bus should immediately turn to the right side of the route. I don't know what happened, this Transjakarta is actually straight. The exact assumption is not yet known. Information from residents, the brakes failed," he said.
