Preventing Driver And Residents' Frictions, Bogor Tangerang Equalizes Mining Truck Rules

TANGERANG - The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab), Banten and Bogor Regency, West Java, will hold a special meeting to harmonize the policy of operating hours of mining trucks in the two areas.

Legok sub-district head M. Yusuf Fachroji said the policy was in a quick response from the government in resolving the problems that occurred between mining truck drivers and the surrounding community in the last few days.

"Because what is happening at this time, we are only anticipating that there will be no friction between the community and the transporter or driver who is seen as having a krodit," Yusuf said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 19.

According to him, the problems that occurred in the border zones of the two Tangerang and Bogor areas were disharmonized about the policy of mining vehicle activities between the community and truck drivers, so the government had to take action quickly so that friction would not occur which resulted in losses from both parties.

"And we ventured to solve this, discuss it with related parties," he said.

He explained that the Tangerang Regency Government meeting with Bogor was to find solutions and align policies on the operating hours of mining trucks in accordance with predetermined regulations.

Nevertheless, his staff is ready to collaborate with the Bogor Regency Government in an effort to enforce the law against mining transport truck drivers who violate the rules.

"The point is for the addition of officers at points that do make crucial points," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Tangerang Regency Transportation Service, Tjejep Hindrayanto, admitted that there was a miscommunication between the Bogor and Tangerang regional governments regarding the implementation of the policy of operating hours of the mining vehicle.

Previously, Bogor Regency had made an agreement between the government, truck driver associations and mining entrepreneurs to issue a new policy on easing mining vehicle activities without coordinating with other parties.

"There is no coordination yet, this is only sudden due to traffic jams, so they (Bogor) want discretion to relax operating hours. But we have the top leadership, so what will be discussed later is the leadership and leadership," he explained.

He revealed, in Tangerang Regency itself, the rules for the operating hours of mining trucks have been regulated in Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 12 of 2022. The regulation states that vehicle activities above the third axis are allowed to leave from 22.00 WIB until 05.00 WIB in the morning.

"We in the field only secure Perbup 2022. So while we are still waiting for instructions from the top leadership. Only tomorrow will Kadishub have a meeting with the Bogor Regent," he said.
