In Front Of The Starmer PM, Trump Blak-blakan Disagrees With Britain Admitting To The State Of Palestine

JAKARTA - United States (US) President Donald Trump reiterated that he disagreed with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer regarding the recognition of the Palestinian state.

This was conveyed by Trump after a bilateral meeting on Thursday, September 18, during his state visit.

"I have disagreements with the prime minister about it, one of our slight disagreements, in fact," Trump said.

Meanwhile, Starmer said he and Trump agreed on the final purpose of peace in the region.

"We fully agree on the need for peace and roadmaps, because the situation in Gaza cannot be tolerated," he said.

Starmer confirmed Britain's decision to recognize the Palestinian state including its announcement had nothing to do with Trump's state visit.

"I have discussed it with the president, as you might expect, between two leaders who respect each other and like each other and want to realize a better solution in the best way we can," he continued.
