Prabowo Leads Ratas In Hambalang To Discuss Agriculture To Giant Sea Wall
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto chaired a limited meeting (ratas) with the ranks of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy and related agencies in Hambalang, West Java, Thursday, discussing strategic issues in the agricultural, energy and infrastructure sectors.
The activity was informed by Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya through the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat.
"Today, President Prabowo Subianto chaired a limited meeting with ministers in the economic sector and other relevant agencies," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 18.
In the agricultural sector, said Teddy, the President emphasized the need for quick steps to solve problems related to wood sweet potatoes, cassava, and tapioka.
The government will involve local governments and industry players, while still prioritizing the welfare of farmers as the main focus of policy.
For the energy sector, the meeting discussed the sugar cane or molasse production mechanism and the development of solar power-based rural electricity supply.

In addition, the President also highlighted the plan to build a giant sea wall on the north coast (Pantura) of Java, which is projected to have an impact on around 50 million people in the region.
Teddy said this plan was part of the government's efforts to strengthen infrastructure resilience while protecting coastal areas from the threat of abrasion and climate change.
