China Masters 2025: Putri KW Bungkam Sim Yu-jin
JAKARTA - Putri Kusuma Wardani managed to beat Sim Yu Jin to reach the quarter-finals of the China Masters 2025, which is the second ticket obtained by Indonesian representatives.
The seventh seed sealed victory in a two-game live match 21-16 and 21-19 over South Korean representatives at Shenzhen Arena, China, on Thursday, September 17, 2025.
"Sim Yu-jin in my opinion is one of the players whose punches are most difficult. He has the advantage of directing the ball when he is close to his racket. It is often not legible," said Putri.
This is the second time that Putri have managed to beat Sim from a total of five clashes. Putri got another win in their third duel in the quarter-finals of the Korea Masters 2024.

"I'm very happy to be back in the quarter-finals, but tomorrow (19 September 2025) I have to play even better. His mind is maintained and tries to enjoy it," said Putri.
This latest victory continued the impressive appearance of Putri, who previously managed to enter the semifinals of the BWF World Championships (BWF World Championships) at the end of August 2025.
This success made Putri entitled to bring home a bronze medal, which ended the Indonesian women's singles medal drought since Lindaweni Fanetri achieved the same achievement in the 2015 edition in Jakarta.
Previously, the ticket to the first quarter-finals had been secured by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, who won over the sixth seed host Liang Wei Kosong/Wang Chang.
