Rp100 Thousand Accompanied By Threats To Make Victims Of Obscenity In Cilangkap Reluctant To Complain

East Jakarta Metro Police revealed the mode of the case of sexual abuse of uncles against underage nephews repeatedly since March 2025 in the Munjul area, Cilangkap, East Jakarta (Jaktim).

"A man with the initials JP (36) molested his own nephew, a 16-year-old high school student with the initials NFD, from March to September 16, 2025, by doing several modes," said Head of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Sri Yatmini during a press conference at the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Thursday, September 18.

Sri explained that the modus operandi of the perpetrator was to give the victim the lure of money every time he carried out his depraved act.

"The perpetrator's mode of committing the crime is by giving the victim the lure of money. The victim is always given an average fee of Rp. 100,000," said Sri.

In addition, this case was revealed after the victim was under pressure and threats from the perpetrators so that he did not dare to report from March to September 2025.

Perpetrators are threatened not to tell their actions to their parents or other people.

"The victim is always threatened by the suspect, not being allowed to tell his parents. The perpetrator also threatened the victim with the phrase 'don't tell anyone, later if you say, I will be reported to the police'. That's how the perpetrator tied the victim so he didn't dare to speak," Sri explained.

Furthermore, Sri said, the victim was not in a position able to realize the situation experienced because he was still a minor.

"The child is incompetent. What he did, what he felt he didn't know. Even when the victim woke up the perpetrator, he thought it was like uncle or uncle, didn't mean to lure him," said Sri.

The results of the medical examination stated that the victim was negatively pregnant and there were no indications of abortion.

Currently, the victim has received psychological protection and assistance from the police.

Officers arrested a man with the initials JP (36) for allegedly molesting his nephew, NFD (16), repeatedly since March 2025 in the Munjul area, Cilangkap, East Jakarta (Jaktim).

JP (36) was arrested on September 16, 2025 night and confiscated evidence in the form of clothes from the perpetrator and the victim, namely a yellow shirt, a white t-shirt, a blue jeans, a negligee with a white and gray box motif.

The suspect is subject to Article 76D Juncto Article 81 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection with a threat of 15 years in prison.

Not only that, the perpetrator's sentence was also increased by a third of the principal sentence because the perpetrator was the victim's uncle.
