Residents Of Kembangan, West Jakarta, Thwarted The Attempted Murder, Police Secured The Perpetrators With Women

JAKARTA - Police arrested a man suspected of attempted murder in Kembangan, West Jakarta on Wednesday (17/9) night. The Head of the Kembangan Police, Kompol Moch Taufik Iksan Taufik, explained that the perpetrators came with sharp weapons and looked for their targets. Luckily, local residents managed to thwart the action.

Kompol Taufik Iksan has not disclosed in detail the chronology of the incident, because his party is still investigating the perpetrators.

"It's still being investigated. It's not yet a fight, but (the alleged perpetrator) came to the scene, in the pocket there was a knife (sharp weapon)," said Kompol Taufik Iksan, ANTARA, Thursday, September 18.

Meanwhile, a resident at the location named Nisa admitted that the situation around the crime scene (TKP) was very crowded when the perpetrator was arrested by the police.

However, Nisa did not know the motive for the perpetrator to carry a sharp weapon (sajam) in the form of a knife in a bag.

"The chronology clearly does not understand, because I was in Alfamart next to the location of the incident, only when I was busy going out," said Nisa.

Nisa said the perpetrator was carrying a male knife. While one other person is a woman who is waiting for the alleged perpetrator in the car.

"The perpetrators who wanted to stab with a knife (person), but they were both the perpetrators with girls, wait in the car and park at Alfamart," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim, said Nisa, was a man and was a local resident.

Nisa said the victims and suspected perpetrators were in a safe condition because the residents first secured them.

"The residents were secured to a house near there, not long after the police and the TNI arrived. It seems that when the police and TNI were about to patrol near the scene," he said.
