There Is A Certain Goal Enrique Sees From The Tribune When PSG Wins Vs Atalanta In The Champions League

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique greatly admired his players when they started their Champions League title effort with a 4-0 win over Atalanta on Thursday, September 18, 2025, early morning WIB.

For the second consecutive home game, Enrique watched the first half from the top of the stands, instead of under the pitch, just like against Lens in Ligue 1 last weekend.

"I did the same thing as I did in the last game because from above, I got a lot of information I could use during the first half."

"Having more important information for me," Luis Enrique told Canal Plus before the match against Atalanta.

Luis Enrique returned to the sidelines to patrol in the second half against Atalanta. His left arm is still wrapped in a buffer after his spine broke in a recent bicycle accident.

In a press conference after the match, he explained the reasons behind his new approach. This approach helps him to step back for a moment and see things in a way that may be more objective and impartial.

Rugby coaches use this method, where they are in the stands, instead of on the pitch.

"It's very different to watch the game while sitting. My comments during the game break against Lens were completely different because I was there."

"I see there are things that need to be fixed, some mistakes. I've been thinking about how we can add something to the way we work."

"I am always open to anything that can improve our performance. With the quality of our players, there is no surprise. We just need to improve a few things," said the Spaniard.

However, Atalanta coach, Ivan Juric, did not see much that PSG needed to improve.

"We shouldn't be too disappointed with ourselves because they are a very extraordinary team. We played very well in the first 10 minutes, but then it became difficult," said Juric.

Luis Enrique is one of the few coaches to win the tournament of elite European clubs with different clubs, having guided Barcelona to glory in 2015.

PSG's next match in the Champions League is a trip to Barcelona on October 1, 2025.
