Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono expressed his warm welcome as well as great hope for the inauguration of the new Deputy Minister of Cooperatives (Wamenkop) Farida Farichah.

Menkop Ferry emphasized that Kemenkop has a strategic role in facing the nation's challenges, especially in strengthening the people's economy.

"The role of the Deputy Minister is very important to accelerate policy implementation and build effective communication with stakeholders at the central and regional levels," said Ferry, Thursday, September 18.

Ferry emphasized that one of the main focuses of the Ministry of Cooperatives is the operation of the Red and White Kopdes, a program that is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directives. So, it is necessary to adjust the organizational capacity to accelerate the implementation of these tasks.

He also invited all levels of the Ministry to fully support the new Deputy Minister and make this momentum a starting point to strengthen organizational solidity in order to improve performance.

"The mandate that we hold is not a burden, but an honor. With passion, hard work, and innovation, I believe we are able to make Kemenkop the main pillar of national economic development," he added.

The Coordinating Minister said the success of the Red and White Kopdes program would bring significant changes to society, especially in rural areas. This program is seen as one of the important achievements of the Red and White Cabinet and President Prabowo.

Furthermore, Menkop Ferry continued, currently the Red and White Kopdes have entered the socialization stage of the procedure for disbursing loan ceilings provided by related parties, including socialization to agencies and task forces at the provincial and district/city levels.

"It is hoped that in October, village cooperatives that are members of the Red and White Kopdes can start operating effectively," he said.

The Red and White Village Cooperative does not only act as a financial institution, but also as an instrument for empowering the village community through various activities such as village clinics, village pharmacies, basic commodities shops, to the development of local products such as oil, rice, and fertilizer.
