Eight Teams Ready To Compete On The Playoff Media Cup 2025
JAKARTA Eight teams will compete to get two tickets for the final round through the 2025 Media Cup playoffs. The number of teams has increased from the previous four.
The new concept was carried out in order to boost the competitiveness of the reporters who carried the banners of each media.
The Chief Executive of the 2025 Media Cup, Andri Bagus Syaeful, stated that the 2025 Media Cup wanted to attract wider participation by adding a team participating in the playoffs.
"We want the competition on the ground to be fiercer. The playoffs are twice as much and the ticket quota passes too," said Andri.

This year, the playing round match format is also different from the previous edition. If previously using a round-robin system, this year's edition carries a knockout system.
Two teams that qualify for the final will automatically advance to the final round of the Media Cup 2025 by the end of October 2025.
Participants in the 2025 Media Cup playoffs include RTV, Garuda TV, Nusantara TV, Bola.com, CNNIndonesia.com, One TV News, RRI, and Kumparan.
Based on the results of the 2025 Media Cup drawing playoff on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, RTV will face Garuda TV and Nusantara TV will challenge Bola.com.
CNNIndonesia, which had participated in last year's playoffs, is back in the fight this year and will meet One TV News. The legendary Indonesian radio station, RRI, will face Kumparan.
The 2025 Media Cup playoffs will take place at the Goozone Mini Soccer Cibis Warrior, Cilandak, South Jakarta on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
