The Price Of Electricity From The Waste Plant Is Pegged At 20 Sen Per KWh

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set a price for electricity generated from the Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) of 20 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).

The Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eniya Listiani Dewi, said that this price calculation had gone through studies, including it had been reviewed by the Bad Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"The calculation of Rp20 cents is based on 2 studies, there are already 2 studies, the BPKP has reviewed it, the main thing is that BPKP also exists. That's our study, if it's 1000 tons on a scale, 20 cents is right," said Eniya, quoted Thursday, September 18.

Eniya added, based on a study by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the actual price of electricity for waste was imposed at 20.55 cents. However, 20 cents were then set with the consideration that more companies would benefit from such prices.

"So this adds to the certainty of investors to get more than 1000 tons per day. If it is below 1000 tons, it will also still be set at a price of 20," explained Eniya.

Eniya said that currently his party is still waiting for ratification of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 35 of 2018 concerning the Acceleration of the Construction of Waste Processing Installations into Environmentally Friendly Technology-Based Electric Energy by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of State Secretariat.

"We are waiting for this if I'm not mistaken, at the Ministry of Finance with the State Secretariat, yes. We hope that soon and we can start being canceled like that, yes, meaning to notify several local governments," said Eniya.
