Maman Abdurrahman Pede Economic Stimulus Package Stabilizes MSME Performance
JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman emphasized that one of the economic stimulus packages is intended to stabilize the performance of MSMEs.
"If you pay attention, this program is encouraged to secure the stability of MSME growth and development movements. Starting from the PPh incentive of 0.5 percent, then the disbursement of Rp200 trillion which will later be enjoyed by MSMEs," said Maman, Thursday, September 18.
Maman added, the context of economic growth in developing countries is always linear with the growth in the number of entrepreneurs.
"If you pay attention, the tax narrative has never been raised by the Minister of Finance. So what is now being encouraged by the Minister of Finance are productive sectors that can stimulate economic growth," he said.
However, Minister Maman continued, based on data from the 2020 Development Study Forum (FKP), out of 81 percent of young people who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs, only 8 percent already have businesses.
For this reason, Minister Maman motivated students who were present to take part as entrepreneurs and create jobs.

"Young people are creative people, you have the opportunity to be creative and the most important thing about being entrepreneurs is to create wider job opportunities. Even indirectly it also has an impact on economic growth," he said.
Maman gave an example of the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) based on the people's economy, in line with the job expansion program and having a mutualism relationship with MSMEs.
"The Red and White Village Cooperative will become an aggregator and there MSMEs can move to market their products, including expanding employment. So, I think the principles of the people's economy carried by President Prabowo are symbolizing apart from cooperatives, there are also MSMEs," said Maman.
