Jakpro Tightens The Security Of The 1B Phase LRT Project After The Iron Theft Case

JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo is now increasing security in the area of the 1B Phase LRT construction project on the Velodrome-Manggarai route.

This was done as a result of the theft of iron material that occurred at the construction site some time ago.

"Jakpro together with implementing contractors tighten Work Safety and Health (K3) procedures, as well as coordinate with relevant stakeholders to maintain security around the project area. This includes the installation of a safety fence, CCTV, and project security officer," said Director of the Jakarta LRT Project Ramdani Akbar in his statement, Thursday, September 18.

Ramdani revealed that since the incident occurred, Jakpro immediately coordinated with the police to prevent similar theft from happening again.

"Currently, the perpetrators of the theft of pieces of iron at the Jakarta LRT project in the Manggarai area have also been secured," said Ramdani.

Furthermore, Ramdani claimed that Jakpro together with the implementing contractor were committed to carrying out the project based on security, safety, and timeliness.

"We ensure that every stage of construction runs with high safety and security procedures. With the progress that continues to be positive, we are optimistic that this project can immediately provide solutions for congestion and benefits for the community," he said.
