JAKARTA - Bima Permana Putra, one of three people who had been declared missing after the riot that occurred in the Jakarta area at the end of August 2025, has now been found.
Based on data from the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Bima's last location was seen in Glodok, West Jakarta, on August 31, 2025.
The search effort was carried out, KontraS uploaded news of Bima's disappearance in the hope that there would be information about the young man.
More than two weeks or 17 days have passed, there has been no news about the whereabouts of Bima Permana Putra.
Until finally, the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections (Menko Kumham Imipas) Yusril Ihza Mahendra said Bima Permana Putra had found its existence in the Malang area, East Java.
"Earlier the police also informed me that Bima Permana Putra had been found in a temple in Malang, East Java," Yusril told reporters, Wednesday, September 17.
His whereabouts were discovered after the police searched and searched for information. Until finally Bima was found in one of the monasteries.
Currently, Bima has been brought by the police. In the near future it will be handed over to his family.
"He was declared missing in Glodok at the time of the riots, but the police have found him in a temple or pagoda in Malang city and has been taken by the police," said Yusril.
Polda Metro Jaya is known to have found Bima's whereabouts. From the results of the examination, it turned out that the young man had deliberately left Jakarta.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier General Ade Ary Syam Indradi said Bima began leaving Jakarta on September 1, 2025. The young man was driving his motorbike to Tegal, Central Java.
Arriving in Tegal, Bima stayed at a hotel. Then, immediately sold his motorbike.
"The person concerned immediately sold the motorbike through the Cash on Delivery (COD) system in front of the hotel at a price of Rp. 5,000,000. Through the FB shiba taiju account," said Ade.
The next day, Bima continued his journey by ordering an online motorcycle taxi to Tegal Station to go to Malang.
Arriving, Bima had time to rest at the Mergosono Gasoline Pom. Then, book a room at the Java Boutique Hotel through the Traveloka application and stay for two nights.
Then, the young man went to a temple in the Klteng eng an kiong area located on Jalan RE Martadinata Number 1, Kotilama, Kecamatab Kedungkandang, Malang City, East Java.
There, Bima began to earn income. The trick, by acting as a lion dance.
"The person concerned started selling the lion dance he bought from the tiktok shop account for Rp. 400 thousand," said Ade.
