Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Djamari Evaluation Of The Decree Of Enforcement Of The Budi Gunawan Era

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago has evaluated several enforcement desks formed by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan.

The evaluation was discussed by Djamari in his inaugural meeting as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs together with the deputies of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Wednesday, September 17.

"One of the things we are talking about is the issue into security, whether it will be more effective or less effective, or need to be strengthened," Djamari said as quoted by ANTARA.

According to him, all these desks have made a good contribution to the country. However, his party still cannot confirm whether the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs will currently adopt the concept of prosecution through these desks.

Not only considering the previous desk, Djamari ensured that his party would revitalize the organization of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

This was done to improve the performance of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs in creating national security and political stability.

However, Djamari did not explain in detail what the concept of organizational revitalization would be applied at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

Previously, the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs when it was still led by Budi Gunawan had many special desks to handle various cases such as forest and land fires (karhutla), eradication of drugs, corruption to a desk for the protection of Indonesian migrant workers (P2MI).

The desk-desk consists of a variety of mutually sustainable agencies. The desk then took various actions ranging from law enforcement, confiscation of illegal goods to overcoming the forest fire disaster.
