Minister Of State Secretary Admits Government Communication Agency Was Formed To Improve PCO Era Hasan Nasbi
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi revealed the reason why President Prabowo Subianto formed the Government Communications Agency and appointed Angga Raka Prabowo as head of the agency.
The Government Communications Agency replaces the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) which was previously led by Hasan Nasbi as the Head of PCO.
Prasetyo said that the formation of the Government Communications Agency was formed to improve public communication when Hasan Nasbi served as the previous Head of PCO.
"Yes, yes, why do we want to replace (but) not in order to improve? That's the hope. This is like playing football, we change players with the hope that we will be able to win the match, right," said Prasetyo at the State Palace, Wednesday, September 17.
In addition, the transformation of PCO into the Government Communications Agency is carried out to expand the role of communication, which not only represents the presidential office, but also the entire government level.
"The coverage can also be the government here, including how later we will synchronize communication between the central government, provincial governments and local governments on all programs that are being and will be carried out by the government," explained Prasetyo.
