Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Ensures Indonesia Brings Palestinian Issues At The UN General Assembly Session This Year

JAKARTA - Indonesia continues to finalize preparations ahead of attending the United Nations General Assembly, where President Prabowo will directly lead the Zamrud Equatorial delegation.

Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yvonne Mewengang said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to make various preparations for the Indonesian delegation.

Yvonne has not detailed the issues that Indonesia will bring to the UN General Assembly this year. However, he confirmed that the Palestinian issue was one of the issues brought.

"The Palestinian issue will be discussed, something we always bring," Yvonne explained in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 17.

Last week, the Director General of Multilateral Cooperation of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tri Tharyat, confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto would directly lead the Indonesian delegation.

Ambassador Tri has not yet shared details of what President Prabowo will appoint, but mentions, among others, global dynamics at this time, Palestinian issues, as well as encouraging Asta Cita's vision programs, multilateral system reforms, to encouraging the role of Global South countries guided by the spirit of Bandung (Aso-Africa Summit).

Held with the age of 80 years of the United Nations, this year's United Nations General Assembly led by Germany carries the theme "Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights".

Ambassador Tri said President Prabowo would speak in third place, after Brazil and the United States.

In total there are 176 participation invitations for Indonesia at all levels, from the head of state to the director general's level, outside the series of bilateral meetings.
