Komdigi Blocks 2.1 Million Judol Content, Most Are On Meta Platforms
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital has processed the takedown of more than 2.8 million negative content from Indonesia's digital space in the period October 20 - September 16, of which 2.1 million content is online gambling content.
Director General of Digital Space Supervision Komdigi Alexander Sabar said, of this total, the majority of online gambling content came from IP sites or addresses.
"Total itu 2.179.223, itu dari 20 Oktober 2024 sampai 16 September 2025. Nah dari 2.179.223 konten judi yang sejak 20 Oktober 2024 itu, 1932.131 itu dari situs atau IP berdasarkan domain name atau IP," kata Alex dalam konferensi persnya pada Rabu, 17 September.
Alex said that the high number shows the threat of online gambling content in Indonesia's digital space. He even likened that amount to twenty times the capacity of the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
"If we compare that amount, for example with the capacity of Gelora Bung Karno, that's 20 times, if we insum each seat is likened to a dangerous content. This of course gives us an idea that the threat we face is very big," added Alex.
Of the total 2,179,223 gambling content handled since October last year, the majority came from the site and IP addresses were 1,932,131 content. The rest comes from:

Alex also revealed that one of the challenges faced in fighting online gambling is because of the technology that continues to develop, especially since these content are scattered in the digital space.
"At least we look at the three factors. The technology, then the procedures, and people. Technology continues to develop, we try to keep up with the technological developments. The procedure has been set, the rule of law already exists. But once again, the procedure is always lagging behind technological developments," said Alex.
