Rain, Ojol Troops In Front Of The DPR Building Still Shouting To Remove The Aceng Program
JAKARTA - Dozens of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) broke through heavy rains to protest in front of the DPR RI Building to convey a number of aspirations such as commission cuts in the application to a maximum of 10 percent.
They arrived in front of the DPR/MPR Building on Wednesday at around 13.25 WIB, when the area rained quite heavily.
"We will continue to voice our voices, even though the rain is not a problem," said an orator during a speech in front of the DPR RI Building.
The heavy rain did not dampen the intention of ojol drivers to convey their income in front of the DPR RI Building.
For the demands brought by them, among them, namely removing the slot or aceng system, cutting the commission to a maximum of 10 percent, immediately drafting the Transportation Law and immediately revising transportation regulations.

Previously, the Central Jakarta Metro Police said as many as 6,118 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri and DKI Regional Government were deployed to guard the online (online/ojol) motorcycle taxi driver demonstration at the DPR/MPR Building and the Monas area.
"The strength of the security forces for the demonstration in Central Jakarta is 6,118 personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro.
According to him, in Central Jakarta there were demonstrations carried out by ojol drivers and a number of community alliances in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building and the Monas area.
"This security is carried out to maintain the smooth delivery of public aspirations," he said.
