Ojol Jakut Doesn't Participate In Today's Demonstration, Choose To Make Money For The Sake Of Family Marriage
JAKARTA - The online motorcycle taxi community (Ojol) of North Jakarta and North Jakarta URC agreed not to participate in demonstrations in a number of locations on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
Thousands of ojol drivers from North Jakarta chose not to join the demonstration because they had to make money to support their families at home.
"We better onbid, make a living for the family," said Mansyur, Chairman of the North Jakarta Regional Office when contacted, Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
According to him, the decision not to take part in the streets has been carefully considered by his party.
"So with some substance considerations, concerning the image, good name, dignity of ojol in North Jakarta, we hereby declare that one command does not participate in the call and call for action of 179 to surround the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Ministry of Transportation's raid, as well as the Presidential Palace," he said.
Mansyur said that around 2,000 members had been advised to continue their activities in making money as usual. For members who really want to join the demonstration tomorrow, he did not forbid it.
Mansyur said, if something happened, the community would not be responsible.
"If there are communities in North Jakarta who take part in this action, we from the management will not take responsibility, we will return it to the applicable law in the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
Mansyur also ensured that even though he did not participate in the demonstration, he and his members still supported the struggle of his friends in his profession.
