Apple Sports Adds Widgets For Live Scores And Schedules On IPhone's Main Screen

JAKARTA - Apple continues to enrich the user experience of the Apple Sports app, and the latest update brings widget support on Home Screen that allows sports fans to monitor live scores and match schedules without the need to open the app.

This new feature is available in version 3.3 of Apple Sports updates. Through the widget, users can display the latest scores and schedules of their favorite teams and leagues directly on the main screen. This gadget can also be adjusted to display specific information according to user needs.

In addition, Apple brings Live Activities support to Lock Screen. That is, when the game takes place, the score and match details will continue to be updated in real-time, even when the phone is locked. This feature now also includes additional details for NFL matches and college football, including timeout information and other match data.

Not only that, Apple Sports is also expanding its reach to eight new countries, namely Austria, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain. On the football side, Apple added more leagues such as Bundesliga 2, Ligue 2, Primeira Liga, Segunda Division

Apple explains that users can choose two main views for widgets: My Teams that display scores and schedules from favorite teams, or League to see the scores and schedules of the entire team in one league. The number of added widgets is not limited, so users can adjust the information according to the devices they use.

The Apple Sports app itself is available free on the App Store and currently has received more than 134,000 reviews with a rating of 4.7 out of 5, signaling the high user satisfaction.

Previously, Apple had also launched a number of new features on Apple Sports this year, ranging from F1 support, NASCAR, MLB Spring Training, to the daily Game Card Sharing and newsletter features. With this latest update, Apple is further strengthening its position as one of the most complete sporting apps for iPhone users.
