Veiled Musician Indonesia Is Looking For The Best Talenta To Compete In South Korea

JAKARTA - The singing audition program, Veiled Musician Indonesia, will be presented to the public in the country to look for musical talents who have not yet received a stage to introduce themselves widely.

Veiled Musician itself is a program initiated by South Korean television station SBS, which is then adapted in many countries, including Indonesia.

For its implementation in Indonesia, online auditions have been carried out since early August. Participants who have passed will appear in the first four rounds of broadcast on RTV on September 21 at 21.00 WIB until the winner is selected through the Grand Final round.

"This program is different from the others, because the winner will be dispatched to Korea (South) to represent Indonesia and compete with participants from other countries," said Artine S. Utomo, CEO of RTV, through a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Tuesday, September 16.

Meanwhile, auditions were held simultaneously in 13 Asian countries, namely South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos and Indonesia. Supported by SBS Korea, Kanverse, Big Ground Entertainment, Kocca and Spotify.

Another uniqueness of this event is the identity of the participants who are kept secret. Later, the jury, consisting of Novia Bachmid, Tiwi T2, and Lullaboy, could only assess the appearance of the participants from their voices. Participants appear on stage with the curtain closed, until it only looks like a silhouette.

In the Grand Final round, South Korean singer-songwriter Paul Kim will also join as a judge.

"All participants have finished auditing, there are around 360 from all over Indonesia. We are not quarantined, because this system is not like that. Because everything must not have interaction, either to the jury or to other participants," said Pinkan Lakyan as GM Production Veiled Musician Indonesia.

"Even they will appear not by real name. We gave them a nickname, and the nickname indicated where he came from," added Pinkan.

Furthermore, Novia Bachmid stated that she would give an assessment based on the ability of the participants to process vocals and interpret the song appropriately.

"If I'm definitely looking for participants with strong vocals and can bring the song so good and can explore the lyrics. So, he can bring the meaning of the song and can explore it with his vocals," said Novia.

"Because they will compete in korea later, and of course we want the best to represent Indonesia in South Korea there," he added. And hopefully we can become champions.
