US Minister Of Finance Prepares Technical TikTok Deal After Trump-Xi Jinping Talks
JAKARTA - US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said it was preparing a technical final agreement regarding the short video application TikTok when President Donald Trump spoke with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Friday this week.
China has a long list of requests during talks this week in Madrid, Bessent said. He described the negotiations as very deep and respectful.
The two sides said they had reached a framework agreement after months of negotiations between economic number 1 and world number 2 to defuse a broad trade war that had plagued the global market.

Details regarding commercial requirements with new investors need to be completed, said Bessent, who declined to elaborate.
