IM MONSTA X Contract With Sony Music Korea, Back To Starship?
JAKARTA - IM from MONSTA X ended his collaboration with Sony Music Korea. After three years, they decided to separate and did not continue the contract.
"We want to let you know that through the discussion, Sony Music Korea and our artist IM agreed to separate," said Sony Music Korea.
"Since joining us in 2022, IM has spent three years building his music identity with our company," he said.
Sony Music as a label thanked IM and supported his soloist journey wherever he was.
We are grateful for sharing music and sincerity with us, and we will continue to support it with respect. We ask for your love and support as he started a new journey. Thank you," concluded Sony Music Korea.

IM left Starship Entertainment in 2022 to have a soloist career by joining Sony Music Korea. He released an album and went on tour with his new label.
Despite leaving, IM is still active as a member of MONSTA X whose members are partly under the Starship Entertainment agency.
On the other hand, IM is the only member of MONSTA X who has not fulfilled his military service.
MONSTA X also just celebrated her debut by releasing the album THE X with the main track titled N the Front.
